A coach provides an accountability partner to help you figure out exactly what it is you want, establish weekly goals and stay on track to meet them. A coach's job is to ask reflective, self-evaluative questions to help you look inside and to support you in finding the solutions you are hoping for.
Parent Coaching with Meemie
Do you know in your heart that a better relationship with your child is possible, but need some support to get there?
Coaching is a process. My approach is based on the work of Dr. William Glasser. He called it Reality Therapy. Together, we will explore four evaluative steps: identifying what you want, looking at what you’re currently doing, determining if it’s working, and if not, finding a better way.
We always have a choice in how we behave. We can’t control others, but we CAN control ourselves. In fact, the ONLY person we can control is ourself.
And you may think, “It’s my child I need to control, not me!” But when you change, the relationship changes. It’s that simple (well, with a lot of reflection and hard work!!!).
You have tried it all: rewarding, punishing, praising, bribing, guilting, shaming, begging, yelling and crying…. and while it may work in the moment, the behavior doesn’t change.
Join me to develop an approach to parenting that moves away from trying to control your child’s behavior. Learn to build a deeper connection and the relationship with your child that you've always hoped for.

Our Parenting Workshop Series
Restitution Self-Discipline
In the Restitution approach, we think of discipline as learning and we guide children to begin to make decisions by thinking about the kind of person they want to be. We teach that mistakes are how we learn. We help you become a manager of your children's behavior and at the core of the training is the emphasis on building a positive, nurturing relationship between kids and parents.

We help you recognize that all behavior is purposeful and is driven by internal needs. Our workshop provides tools and techniques to manage behavior by helping children learn ways to meet their own needs without interfering with the needs of others.
In the Restitution model, we help you become a manager of behavior rather than a monitor who uses punishments and rewards to get children to behave. With an emphasis on connection, the goal in solving problems is developing a win-win solution. We learn to create an environment where it is ok to make mistakes and by fixing mistakes, your child is strengthened. ​The workshop is most effective for parents with children aged 5-18!
